Results of the selection process

think

For the first time in the history of the IPT, there were more registered teams (17 teams) than available seats (15 seats). That’s why a selection process had to be engaged, in order to select the teams which would take part into the tournament. We see it as a sign of vitality and an inducement to continue our efforts in order to broaden the visibility of the IPT around the world. And we really wish to thank all the registered teams for being part of it!

All the teams, except those of Denmark Denmark, Ukraine Ukraine and France France (because these countries were finalists of last year edition) had to send a written report on one problem out of a sublist of the 17 problems of IPT 2016.

The report were then anonymized by IPT President, reviewed then finally ranked by several external people. Here is the list of the selected teams (by alphabetical order):

  • Australia University of Queensland (Australia)
  • China Nankai University (China)
  • Colombia University of Los Andes (Colombia)
  • Germany Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany)
  • Greece University of Crete (Greece)
  • Poland University of Warsaw (Poland)
  • Russian Federation Winners of the All Russia Tournament : Voronezh State University.
  • Spain Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain)
  • Sweden Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden)
  • Switzerland Winners of  the Swiss National Selection : Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne
  • United Kingdom University of Nottingham (UK).

The Local Organizing Committee wishes to congratulate all the teams for their reports!

Every selected team should have received an email about the details for registering their team members online and pay the registration fee before February 15th. Otherwise, you have to get in touch very quickly with us thanks to the contact form.

These 11 teams will add to the ones of Denmark Denmark, Ukraine Ukraine and France France which had their seats reserved.

We are sorry to announce that the teams of Iran, Islamic Republic of Iran and United States USA (Harvard University) have been rejected. The team leaders should have received a message with comments on the reports by the reviewers.
